The London Legal Walk 2020

The London Legal Walk 2020

With just over a week to go until the 2020 London Legal Walk 10xChallenge, the event has already raised over  £270,000 for free legal advice charities.  Legastat is honoured to provide direct support as a sponsor of this year’s event.

As you may know, the Walk has turned virtual for 2020, giving participants the opportunity to join in any way and any place they like.  So, while we can’t all walk shoulder to shoulder on 05 October, there are still ways to stay social while apart.

Why not take on 10k your way? Whether that’s walking, running, cycling, skipping or space-hopping your way to 10km. People can walk individually, as a household, or as a socially distanced group of colleagues. There is no set start time for this virtual challenge, so choose a time, route and pace that suits you! To get started, download one of the maps for River Route East or River Route South, and you will see our support for this important fundraiser.

The London Legal Walk website has lots of creative ideas.  Participants are planning to take on all sorts of challenges to a multiple of 10, whether that’s baking 10 cakes, writing 10 poems, 100 minutes of your favourite exercise class (Yoga, Pilates, Zumba), 1,000 star jumps/sit ups, or doing a team challenge to reach 10,000 or even 100,000 together.

And on the day there’s a photo competition – with lots prizes up for grabs.

Above all, please try to join us and do your bit to support this excellent cause. This year demand on free legal advice services has increased dramatically.  This video message from Rob ‘Judge’ Rinder gives more information about the event and why your support is needed now more than ever.
